2019年9月21日，由广州图书馆与优智家《Urban Family》双语教育媒体平台共同策划和组织的“爱上图书馆”系列活动在广州图书馆北八楼创客空间进行。十五组中外国籍家庭、超过20位小朋友踊跃报名，齐聚现场参与秋季版的“爱上图书馆”系列活动 – 创意灯笼制作课堂。

On Saturday September 21, 15 local and expat families convened at the Multi-Culture section of Guangzhou Library to join the 2nd ‘Reading Experience Fun Tour’ and Lantern-Making Workshop. This event was jointly presented by Urban Family and Guangzhou Library.  

此次创意灯笼制作课堂，我们邀请到两位具有丰富创科教育实践的专业导师 - 李伯泉老师（广州市3D打印与开源硬件培训项目主导教师）和蔡键铭老师（对编程、3D打印、电路设计有丰富的实践经验与创客课程教学经验）特别设计和准备活动主题及制作材料。

We invited two experienced STEM teachers, Mr. Boquan Li and Mr. Jiangming Cai, to help us with this event. Both teachers are experts in science, programming and 3D printing. The theme of workshop was specially designed and prepared for the upcoming celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

活动过程轻松活泼，两位老师为各位同学讲述了灯笼历史的由来、种类和结构，更从零开始启蒙各位同学有关电路设计和制作的知识。

The entire event process ran smoothly. Parents and kids enjoyed creating their own lanterns, gaining knowledge about the history, types and structure of lanterns. They also enjoyed learning more about 3D printing techniques. 

爸爸妈妈和孩子们一起齐心协力解决制作过程中出现的难题。

最后，两位老师和活动主办方的领导们，为各位同学颁发“小小艺术家”证书和3D打印制作的“70周年国庆”徽章，为秋季“爱上图书馆”系列活动画上圆满句号。同学们提着灯笼，带着丰富的礼品和大满足的笑容离开了。

Last but not least, all the children received a ‘Super Little Artist’ certificate, proudly awarded by teachers and event organizers.
